39. Tell everyone: “I’m a writer.”
I read this article today about how one way to become a better writer was to tell everyone you are indeed a WRITER. (Ha Ha!) Wonderful advice. In my early years…I had trouble mentioning this to others - and I also struggled with the belief that I even was one for years.
Why is it the writers who write can’t just admit easily that they are writers?
It’s not all that complicated…perhaps we just give too much “status” to the term, and make it much more serious than it really is. I wrote in a journal for 25 years before I actually wrote a book! I was a writer the day I decided I loved it and wanted to do it everyday. I believe what you call yourself, everyone else will, as well. Ok writers! Let’s get to believing what we want to be!!
If you LOVE it, LIVE it!
Here’s that awesome article I read - you should read it, too!
